This was the computer I used for several years and updated numerous times. I built it as a project in my high school wood shop class in 2003. It's since been retired to home theater duty. It's still my favorite case mod, but I got tired of lugging its almost 60 pounds to LAN parties, and the 80mm cooling fans are pretty loud.

The original configuration, hooked up to my sweet 17" CRT.

After etching the side window with a Dremel

Installed on the case. This is still the first iteration of the hardware. It had an overclocked Hyperthreaded P4, 1GB of DDR and a couple 80GB SATA drives in RAID 0.

After adding an etched cover for the drive bays. This is also after the last total upgrade.

Added a guard over the expansion slots.

Overall shot of the interior.

Lighting comes from five 80mm case fans and one 120mm fan in the power supply, all with green LED lighting. There are three UV cold-cathode lights around the perimeter of the window, and lots of UV-reactive green plexiglass inside the machine.
